Parks & Recreation


The Town of Brookston Parks and Recreation Department provides park facilities and programs to accommodate the needs and interests of local residents and visitors. Whether you are into sports, nature or just want to take your children to the playground, the Town of Brookston is the place for you.  The Town has made many improvements to our parks in recent years.  

Wood Street Park

Repaved basketball courts and new backboards/posts
Built pavilion
Planted Trees
Enlarged parking area
New charcoal grills

Heart to Heart Park

Paved all walking paths

Pocket Park - SR 18 & Railroad Street

Removed old fence and bushes
Paved area with bricks

Argel Ball (Baseball) Park

Took out all walnut trees
New roof on shelter
Edging around playground
Paved entrance and parking area on east driveway
Bought new aluminum bleachers
Rebuilt wooden bleachers
Poured concrete all around concession stand and Field #1
New charcoal grill

Pickle Ball Courts & Shuffle Board

2 pickle ball courts on SR 18 East next to Town Hall
1 pickle ball court on corner of 4th St. & South St,
1 shuffle board court on SR 18 East next to Town Hall
